Dear WacoFork friends,
Rather than post a belated Tuesday Trivia blog today or jump right back into restaurant blogging as if I haven't fallen woefully out of that habit this summer, I've decided be frank with you in letter form.
It's #WFWednesdayTriva because I had neither time nor energy to post Tuesday Trivia yesterday.
But Wednesday Trivia is really no different from its Tuesday sibling. Win by being the first to email the correct answer to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Today's prize is $20 to Amelia's on the Avenue in Sironio. Here's the question:

I can't let a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers release and the chance to connect this trivia question to it slide past me. Here's the question:
Ok, bear with me, WacoFork friends. I'm in Mankato, Minnesota, and I won't be back to Waco until mid-August, but I'm going to try to keep the wheels turning.
Speaking of wheels, I've been made aware of a new food truck located behind World Cup Cafe and launched by Mission Waco called World Bowl. It's experimental and somewhat temporary, though the Mission Waco folks have plans to make it more permanent. This week, weather permitting, it will be open Tuesday through Thursday this week from 5-7 p.m. They're not open at lunch so they don't interfere with World Cup Cafe business.
The week before I traveled to Scotland, my friend, Michelle Alessandro, told me about a new place in the Baylor Student Union Building called Fresh.
She described it as sort of an all-inclusive fresh-vegetable spread at which bowls and smoothies could be assembled. At least that's how I think she described it (there have been a few pub nights between then and now, I must concede). From that description, I imagined the create-your-own-dish section of Whole Foods and set my expectations at that level.
Tuesday Trivia is back. Sorry for the two-week absence.
This week's prize is a $10 gift card to Captain Billy Whizzbang's. The first person to email the correct answer to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. wins. Simple as that.
I have two things to bring to the table for discussion today.
First, it's National Ice Cream Month. My friend, Joben David, pointed this out to me at length on Sunday, which was National Ice Cream Day, and he went on to pontificate on why July is the perfect month to have National Ice Cream Month. I said it's important to recognize ice cream and all the strides that it's made in this country and it's contribution to the national fabric.
Today's trivia prize is $20 to Kitok's. Classic Rock lovers are going to nail this one.

I noticed this afternoon that both the Xristo's and Mrs. Thompson's Cupcakes trucks were parked and closed.
The reason I noticed was I wanted to follow up on the Waco Trib's story on Mrs. Thompson's, the recently arrived dessert truck. But I understand how they would both need to take a breather on Monday. After all, it's probably going to be a hectic weekend for the downtown food truck folks.
I've been hearing rumors about a food truck in Robinson that is so big, with jaws so powerful, that it has been known to carry away small children and even full-grown adults.
Not really. I've just been watching River Monsters a lot. So now, I want to write every recon blog in the voice of Jeremy Wade, inasmuch as I want to make my normal recon blogs into races-against-time to catch a predator before it can cause further damage to humanity. But then I suppose once I caught the restaurant, I would just release it right back into the wild as if there was no reason to catch it in the first place. Also, I'm going to end each blog with the phrase "Now I'm going to catch the really big one!"
