Mum

Great small place with a big hear and fresh ingredients!

★★★★★ Reviewed by Mum on June 19, 2012

Great place to drop in and get breakfast all day and night if you want. They make your burger to order and fresh fries are great too. In a hurry? 11-2 ach day they offer a $5 (tax included) burger, fries and drink. Specials each day as well as homemade muffins, cookies, pies and cakes make this a 10 in my book!
Oh and don't forget to tip your waitress folks! They work hard and do not make minimum wage don't forget; no servers do out there!

Cinnamon rolls...Y.U.M.

★★★★ Reviewed by Davis on September 19, 2011

I love breakfast, and breakfast at Uncle Bubbas is no exception! It is a hole in the wall, literally. Carved out of the old deli in the IGA United Super in Hewitt. Serving up comfort food deluxe and every bite is a 'yum 'moment.
We had cinnamon rolls, gooey and soft. Breakfast burritos were good, but the potatoes are tots style and I prefer regular potatoes, but otherwise I found them really good. Uncle Bubba gave us a sausage kolache to try...it was good as well. I am going to go back and try the homemade cakes soon. They also serve lunch with menu items like chicken fried steak, hamburgers and daily specials. Prices are good and service is great. You won't go home empty!

Fresh Made Goodness

★★★★★ Reviewed by jdavis83 on September 17, 2011

I've seen this place for a while now and never actually made the effort to stop in, but on a glowing recommendation from a friend, my wife and I decided to go for breakfast this morning.
I want to kick myself because of what I've been missing out on.

Upon walking in we were greeted with a friendly "hello" and the sound and aroma of freshly cooking food coming from the kitchen.

I ordered the french toast with cheesy eggs and my wife got the biscuits and gravy with hash browns.
Both were so good! Just like Mama used to make...only better! (sorry Mama!)

It was a late breakfast so the place wasn't super busy which gave us some time to chat with the friendly staff. Everything is made right when you order it and the food is brought in from as many local sources as they can get. (they even get a lot of their veggies from the grocer they are attached to!)

I can't wait to try everything else. It all sounded great and the prices are just right!

P.s. If you like spicy food, try their house made salsas (mild and hot). Sooo good!
