Baylor students: pick up a Passport to Waco

As we roll into the heart of the spring semester, the Baylor Student Government has rolled out version 2.0 of a program we're very excited about: Passport Waco.

If you're a Baylor student, you'll want to get in on this. If you know a Baylor student, pass this along to them.

Here's how it works:

  1. Pick up a passport at the BU Student Government office in the SUB or at their booth in the SUB next week (or email me and I'll try to get one to you).
  2. Visit each of the local businesses listed in the passport.
  3. Make sure to get your passport stamped (to support Passport Waco businesses, a purchase is necessary to receive a stamp).
  4. Complete as much of the passport as possible.
  5. Turn in the passport to the Baylor Student Government office by April 12.

And

  1. Follow Baylor Student Government on Facebook and @BaylorSG on Twitter.
  2. Passport Waco challenges will be tweeted periodically.
  3. Be one of the first to complete the challenge to win.
  4. Winners receive a $10 gift card from a Passport Waco business.
  5. Completed booklets will be entered into a drawing for a CHANCE TO WIN AN iPAD ON DIADELOSO.

We think this is an excellent way to mix the Baylor crowd with the rest of Waco. It says as much in the passport.

"Passport Waco is a program designed to support our Waco community by encouraging Baylor students to visit local businesses in our community. This is a great way for students to step outside of the "Baylor Bubble" and embrace the community they live in."

Participating restaurants include Amici's Family Restaurant, Baris, Jake's Texas Tea House, Tres Mexican Restaurant, Vitek's and Oso's Oh So Good Frozen Yogurt.
