Not worth the time or money
After walking into Newk's to find a long line, I thought it would be nice for my wife and I to try out Don Carlos together. I had eaten there twice before. It was okay. We both ordered chicken fajitas today. Not great, not terrible. Overall the service left much to be desired, and the bill for 2 orders of fajitas and 2 teas plus tip doesn't leave this as a practical option for lunch in the future.
Awful eating experiences
We had eaten at Don Carlos twice after it opened its doors in Waco and had an OK dining experience each time. However, one night my husband grabbed take out for dinner for us when i was in the mood for beef tacos. When he got home and I opened the box I believed that they had filled the bottom of the box with enchilada sauce beneath my tacos. WRONG! It turned out to be grease! They were so foul tasting that we threw them out and went to Taco Bell instead! We do not eat here any more and we do not recommend it ever.

Me and my wife eat here every "special occasion" or when we get a baby sitter. The food is delicious. The service is great. The thing I like the most is how much food you get for such a low price. Especially the Super Dinner. I also enjoy the laid back, casual atmosphere.
