Well, long lines or not, both Blake Batson of Common Grounds and Jesus Betancourt of Crucero continue to be enthusiastic about the partnership. On Monday, they decided to adjust the hours to serve breakfast burritos from 7-11 in the morning and street tacos from 7-11 in the evening. Eventually, they want to expand the evening menu to include virtually everything that's available at Crucero's main location.
My friend Brian Patterson is in town recording an album at my house (310 Sound Studios, Waco's Muscle Shoals). So last night I picked up a dozen street tacos — six barbacoa and six pastor — and they hit the spot.
So let's get the word out. There's no reason for this to be a secret. We're all just cool kids eating Crucero tacos at Common Grounds.
