The selection of beers is impressive to look at. And that's about it. I used to love cricket's and was even a member of the Mug Club for 3 years. Once some key members of staff left things started going down hill. Unclean lines causing dirty tasting beer. Glasses that have been half rinsed leaving a soapy taste. And a staff that doesn't know a Belgian from a stout. I know people who still love it an I keep giving them a shot at redemption once or twice a year. I want to like Crickets, but I just can't right now.

Mixed drinks are probablyly alright but I can't say for sure.

Food rating: meh.

The back room is great for large groups and everything I've tried has been great so far. Their beef has always been cooked just right and their tortillas are so fresh. If they don't hand make them, I want to know where they are buying them so I can go get some!

Great food, good price, solid atmosphere.

Vitek's
The gut pack is exactly what it's name describes. It is a delicious container of goodness that will leave you wanting to take a nap! It is so satisfying and filling. I get it with the spicy sausage, but all BBQ brisket is good too.

Kitok
The thing that sets this burger apart is that you can order it with Asian Fries. Not sure what exactly they are but my best description is a giant pile of amazing. They compliment the burger so well and there is always enough in one order for at least two people.

I have friends who love the beef bulgogi but I haven't tried it yet.

The patio/porch/"Big O deck", what ever you want to call it, is the place to be (and you'll know it as soon as you walk in). With over 10 displays you'll find it hard to miss a game during college football saturdays. And there's live music sometimes too.

I voted the food average because it's your typical Texas fare. Chicken Fried Steak, burgers, jalepeño stuffed chicken, wrapped in bacon ("crazy wings") etc. Nothing too risky for a Bar and Grill.

My go-to meal is a few Big-O's of Shiner (always ICE COLD!) and an order of fried pickles and Bear Bites (crazy wings stuffed into home made rolls).

Eat too much at George's and you'll regret it. But you'll never regret the good times you'll have there.

I love food and Harold Waite's does things right! Good sized portions to fill you up on a Saturday morning. The staff is friendly and quick to keep your mug of delicious coffee topped-off! Don't expect anything crazy, Harold's is great, down-home cookin! I would rate excellent, but I would love to see what they could do when they get creative with a few things on the menu. But like they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

The service here is always quick and friendly. It's a bit of a drive but worth it. Everything is made when you order it and the prices are pretty good too. A great alternative to the normal fast food joints when you are out by the airport!

Hands down, D's is amazing! The Mediterranean food is top notch. (I go for the gyro usually!) But the fried chicken! SO GOOD!!! You can get it regular or spicy (not too much, just a nice kick.) It is so flavorful and tender, never dried out like some chicken places.

I've never had a bad experience at "The Bear." The bartenders are the most knowledgable crew I've come across in Texas. The drinks are always great and the food (from next door at Food for Thought) makes it my go-to pizza and beer place in Waco. Come in and learn a thing or two about craft beers(don't forget to drink them too!) You won't regret it!

Drink specials are good and free chips, queso, etc. are fantastic, but finding a table between 5 and 7pm is a battle in itself. It's a personal preference but if you find scouting for a table for 35 minutes fun then Chuy's happy hour is right up your alley.
