Hand's down the best value for Taco's on a Tuesday, although others try. I also love their chicken fajita's, that's a flavor that can't be duplicated elsewhere. Tortilla's are fresh made hourly. Chips and salsa are not free (or cheap), they have a full salsa bar as well, I enjoy this restaurant.

This is a hot food stand located inside a Stripes convenience store. Gas station food. The pro's: The tortilla's are freshly made, you can get a full meal for a very decent price. Con's: You are fighting flies while waiting for your food to be made. Person behind the counter is slow and in no hurry to get to the next customer. Food is sometimes "past it's prime" sitting in those metal containers.

Love this place! It's a little off the beaten path, but I think the food is excellent, it's the traditional mexican food I was raised on in S. Texas. The decor may be a little out-dated but the service is good, reasonably priced, they will always have mine and my family's business!

The Catch
I was expecting this to be an over-priced Long John Silver's, and although I wouldn't call it cheap, it was reasonably priced. I was impressed with the food, it was fast and delicious, even the hushpuppies weren't greasy. I will warn you, this place gets pretty busy after it opens, we went right before church let out, and there were people waiting for a table when we left, so go early. I don't think you will be disappointed!

I have eaten at a lot of Luby's in my time, and this one is just as good... except to my disappointment they don't have salsa, or I would eat there more. The one in Temple, as well as Arlington does, I have no idea why this one won't, even after I asked them to. Other than that, it's the same fresh food you expect to get at the other locations

I'm from San Diego, and you can imagine my delight, In & Out Burger is a fantastic chain to finally come to Waco! If you're looking for a juicy hamburger that if fresh, never frozen then this is the place. I got a burger, fries and a drink for under $6.00. They have a very limited offering, and a well known secret menu that gives you more options. You can still be a Whataburger fan and enjoy In & Out, it's apples and oranges in comparison. My favorite is the spread that they use, really adds to the flavor. The only thing I wasn't too fond of is their fries, they're just ok, but I'm just there for the burger anyways. My only other observation is the dining room is pretty small compared to the other locations I've been to, but fortunately it wasn't during peak hours. So glad I no longer have to go to DFW or Austin to enjoy one of these treats.

Glad to have Carl's Jr back in Texas! I love the offerings they have, before I moved to Waco I lived in Troy, and would often make the trip just to relive my "Hardee's" days. I think the char-broiled burgers are very good!
