I just called to confirm that Longhorn Steakhouse is officially open.
The new chain steak joint on Frankliln Avenue opened this morning at 11.
I'm currently knee deep in college hoops freelance writing, so I'm not going to make it to Longhorn today. But I have it on my to-do list to take down a rib eye there tomorrow. I've had a couple of top notch rib eyes recently, so I'm going to set the bar high and actually review a food item for once.
But don't wait for me. If you choose to hit up Longhorn Steakhouse on opening day, write a review of it and let us all know what to expect.
Food truck even
We've been given a heads up about A Movable Feast for Beasts, a food truck fair to benefit The Animal Birth Control Clinic and scheduled to begin at noon on April 5 at Cameron Park East.
A Movable Feast will include hot dog eating contests for both people and dogs, a variety of food trucks and live music. We're going to track down a few more details, including which of our town's food trucks will be participating and let you know in the near future. For now, just be appraised that this promises to be a fun Saturday afternoon at the park.
