Brazos River Ribfest is this weekend.
We've heard a little bit of buzz about this event around town. Here's what we know: it's Friday through Sunday on the grounds of McLane Stadium and you'll be able to taste and help elect a people's choice rib champion.
The participating purveyors of ribs will be The Chicago BBQ Company, Texas Lighting BBQ, Uncle Bubs BBQ, Howling Coyote BBQ and Porky Chicks.
Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the entrance to Ribfest. There will be live music and I'm guessing barbecue and all that that implies.
By perusing the Brazos River Ribfest website, I saw that it looks like, from the live music schedule, the event will go from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, then noon to 10 on Saturday and finish up with an hour or so Sunday at noon.
