Thanks to everyone who attended the 1st annual ChipperThings/WacoFork Chess Tournament on Sunday night at The Dancing Bear. I was so pleased that folks not only expressed that they had a great time, but also that they looked forward to doing it again. I honestly didn't anticipate that.

Applause to Chipper Things proprietor Becky Murphy, who provided the super-cool woodburn trophy plaques. Taking home one of those babies made winning a big deal. She also took the photos and designed the collage with this post. So talented. WacoFork is lucky to count her as a friend. (However, I did turn her queen upside down and mopped the board with her in the Chipper Things vs. WacoFork grudge matches).
