A good idea for Fried-day and the coming weekend

The closer my vehicle moved toward McGregor today, the more I realized The Coffee Shop Cafe made for the ideal Fried-day blog today.

I wanted fried catfish and it's very good at The Coffee Shop, so that works. I was thinking maybe I would see Bunny, one of my favorite waitresses in town, and in fact she took good care of me. But the more I thought about it, the more this weekend would be a really good weekend to head to McGregor for a Coffee Shop breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We're beyond spring break and a week away from Easter, which means many of us probably have a nice lazy weekend ahead of us. It's going to be nice weather and bluebonnets are in full bloom along the roadways.

Would there be a better way to properly enjoy all of that than a drive to McGregor for good old home cooking?

As mentioned and shown in the photo with this blog, I chose fried catfish. But it was a tough decision when I got a look at the chicken fried steak available on the buffet. I stuck to my guns, though.

I've highlighted it on this blog before, but I'll state it again for emphasis. The Coffee Shop offers a chicken fried steak breakfast. It comes with eggs and hash browns and anything else you might desire, I suppose. If you've been especially good this week, you should really treat yourself to that.
