I'm digging the wave of food trucks rolling through Waco these days.
Another couple of them will be appearing soon (like right now at Diadeloso, I hear). Club Sandwich owner Youngdae Moon is putting the final pieces in place for his Asian food done American style food truck.
Moon has targeted May 5 as his grand opening and he is giving away invites to a pre-opening event on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Check out the Facebook info here.
We're also going to have info right here on this blog if there's a soft opening of any form or function. Like many of the other ood trucks, Moon will be varying locations. You can find out the where and when here too.
In case you're wondring about Asian food done American style, think Korean tacos and banh mi. At least those are the two things that had my attention when Club Sandwich was open in the community center at 4th and Webster.
Signs, signs, everywhere signs
I made a point of checking on the Portofino coming to Austin Avenue today. Just a casual check revealed they have a "Coming Soon" sign posted next door to Muddle.
And two new chain restaurants have posted signs recently. Rusty Taco has signage and hiring opportunity information posted at its Valley Mills location (in Aldi shopping center). And I just received an email from WacoFork friend Tim Jeske that Firehouse Subs has posted a sign in a new shopping center on Franklin near Buffalo Wild Wings.
