Kicking off "Mexican Food Week" at Leal's

I'm declaring this week "Mexican Food Week" on the blog.

I will eat Mexican food every day at least once whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Given my usual dietary tendencies, it's not that much of a departure from my normal routine.

The point is this week I'm going to eat Mexican food on multiple occasions for a reason and on somewhat of a schedule.

On Monday, WacoFork user and guest blogger Cameron Weed met me at Leal's in Woodway. I've been eating at Leal's since the mid-1990's, but it was Weed's first time. I was happy to introduce him and he said he enjoyed both the salsa and his carne asada burrito. As per usual, I ordered a burrito with beef, potato, cheese and guacamole. Good lunch.

For Tuesday, I've slated another trip to Taqueria El Crucero with a crew of friends from University Baptist Church.

The rest of the week is wide open, though Lolita's, Taqueria Mexican Taco, Jalisco, Mi Tequila and El Charro Tapatio all seem like appealing options.

Any other suggestions?
