Make your own grilled cheese!
I hadn't heard of this place when it was suggested as an option for dinner. The menu looked good online, so we headed out to China Spring to check it out. The food was delicious - you can build your own grilled cheese sandwich with different breads and cheeses and spreads and toppings. I got one of the suggested combinations (mozzerella, tomato and pesto) on whole wheat bread. Yum! (BTW, Someone needs to go out there and make a ridiculous combination, because when we asked our server what was the craziest combo he'd seen, it was pretty tame still.) My husband had a delicious grilled chicken salad with pistacios and raspberries and the other entrees at the table looked so good. We got desserts too, and they were way scrumptious. The owner came out and talked to us and was very friendly. I'd go there again!
Great Food!
My wife and I recently moved to the China Spring area and we were looking to try a "local" place. We were blown away by the food at Crave Cafe. I had the Southwestern Pork Tenderloin with Grilled Veggies and Sauteed Green Beans. It was delicious and was the perfect portion size. My wife had a burger and it was great too. If there was one place that the cafe needs work its in the service department. The waiter was young and didn't know the menu too well. When we and several other tables asked what the special was he knew the name but not the ingredients or preparation. This is minor because the food was great and that's all that matters to me.
Smoked burgers, grilled cheeses, Pimento Cheese BOMBS!
This is my new favorite place in the Waco area to eat!
I had the grilled cheese you build yourself! You choose the bread, the cheeses, the meat (pulled pork!) and you have choices on choices on choices! You can't go wrong!
Their burger is my new favorite burger in town. Crave wanted burgers on the menu but wanted to do more then your typical burger on the flat top or grill so they got a smoker and are packing these burgers with smokey goodness! Served on a homemade bun that's so soft. It's the perfect beef to bread ratio.
Let's also talk about their pimento cheese bombs! Panko crusted balls of pimento cheese that are deep fried. They should call them pimento amaze-balls!
Don't let the slightly longer commute keep you from going here. It's more than worth the extra effort!
