It's cool to see the different ways restaurants are particiapting in Restaurant Week this week. Some places have specific menu items, like Vitek's Sweet Potato Spud Pak, while others are offering customers a deal along with the designated portion of the check that goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
In Schmaltz's case, almost the entire sandwich menu is in play. Schmaltz's is offering any sandwich on jalapeño cheese bread. They're making a special batch of the bread all week just for the event. That's awesome.

And there's a cool end-of-the-week party planned for Restaurant Week as well. The Restaurant Week Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Knox Hall in the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. Admission is $10 at the door for adults and free for kids.
