Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived. That's because I just arrived at my afternoon office via Uber.
Our man-with-his-ear-to-the-ground MVP Stephen Evans tipped me off to the presence of Uber in Waco yesterday and this afternoon I thought, "Well, what the heck?"
So I downloaded the Uber app and said I wanted a ride to Dichotomy. That was seriously about 20 minutes ago. In that time I registered, got picked up and dropped off and I'm now typing about it.
The gentleman in the picture was my driver, Lucas. He was at my house in the snap of a finger and we cruised down Austin Ave. Easy as that. And it was free. Note that it will not always be free, but since they arrived just yesterday, they're promoting their service with free rides this weekend.
