Cafe Homestead continues to innovate, looking for new ways to give its patrons unique dining experiences.
For the next event, they're truly thinking outside of the box, the box in this case being the actual walls of the Cafe Homestead restaurant.
Cafe Homestead is hosting a farm dinner on the Brazos de Dios farm (same general location as the cafe) aimed at being affordable and fun for all ages. It’s set for 6 p.m. on May 3 at a cost of $24 per adult and $13 for kids.
“This month's dinner experience will be one that the entire family can enjoy, not just for the incredible, authentic food, but for an entire farm experience including horseback rides, surrey rides, campfire, singing, and games,” the restaurant said in a press release/invite.
“Our farm here at Homestead Heritage is known to us as Brazos de Dios. We have worked very closely with Brazos de Dios throughout many of our past dinners as well as in our day to day operation of the cafe. We have been planning for some time to try to incorporate Brazos de Dios into more than just the food for an authentic Farm to Table experience. In this month's, dinner we have been able to do just that.
“Dinner will be on the actual farm amidst many of the day to day farm implements, barns, and shops that make our agrarian way of life possible. We will be serving a family style meal with grass-fed beef from our own herds, produce from our gardens, grits from our gristmill, and milk from our own cows.”
