Steakburger fans unite.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has plans to open in early June on Hewitt Drive, according to Freddy’s spokesperson Lexie Pearce. The newest restaurant in the “50’s-inspired” chain will open at the corner of Mars Drive and Hewitt Drive, where Freddy’s currently has a large “coming soon” banner posted out front.
Freddy’s is sure to be a welcomed addition to the Hewitt/Woodway growing restaurant lineup and will give guests another option for lunch.
“Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is a national, quick-casual restaurant franchise modeled after the late 1940s and early 1950s,” Freddy's told us via press release. “Menu items include a steakburger, shoestring fries, Vienna beef hotdog, chicken sandwich, veggie burger and other entrée selections, as well as dessert treats prepared with freshly-churned chocolate and vanilla frozen custard.”
Freddy’s currently has no special opening events planned, but they have promised to keep the Waco Fork updated as they draw closer to opening day.
