Cafe Homestead's next dinner event is coming up quick: this Saturday with one seating at 7 p.m.
Normailly, all I need to do is mention the menu style and one or two of the highlights here, but this month's menu is a little more complicated. Cafe Homestead is rolling out an Ethiopian feast, easily one of the most exotic menus they've offered. So this month, I'm going to give descriptions of the main course items.
In case the idea of an Ethiopian feast already has you hooked, click here to make reservations.
Here's the main course:
- Doro watt — chicken slow cooked in red curry sauce served on steamed rice.
- Sega tips — beef tips, bell peppers and onions pan seared in a berebre sauce.
- Masir — red lentils slow cooked with berebre, onions and garlic.
- Alicha — crisped potato and vegetable medley served with a side of Ethiopian injera bread.
The entire menu is available here. This one is definitely for the foodies who are looking to expand their horizons.
UPDATE: I learned Monday morning that the 7 p.m. seating sold out and another one has been added at 5 p.m. Click the links above if you want to get in on it.
