Full disclosure, I haven't been to Common Grounds' backyard since they moved the stage to make more room for bigger shows. That will probably change this week as there's a bunch going on this weekend.
This is exciting because, by raising the stage slightly and making the yard bigger, Common Grounds can have bigger acts and ensure that everyone in the audience has a good chance to see the performers on the stage.
My buddy Wes Butler, who also told me the venue has a new sound system, has done an excellent job of filling Common Grounds' fall calendar with shows. It gets rolling this week with open mic, David Ramirez and Seryn.
Here's a glimpse of the fall calendar as it currently stands:
- Tonight: Open mic featuring Aprilemade
- Thursday: David Ramirez with O, Loveland
- Saturday: Seryn with Chambers and Ryan Pickop
- September 11: Open mic featuring Dreamboat
- September 13, Green River Ordinance with Andrew Ripp
- September 14: John Griffin McKay with Valley Mountain
- September 20: Air Review with Lomelda and Jameson McGregor
- September 27: Little Chief with Luke Gibson
- September 28: Texas 4000 for Cancer benefit show
