Here's an idea for the weekend: dine at Clay Pot and take advantage of their fantastic wine sale.
In order to make room for an udpated wine list, Clay Pot is selling bottles of wine at half price.
The wine on sale by the bottle includes Cap Rock Viognier, Bermann Michelsberg Piesporter Spatless, Cap Rock
Sweet Moscato, Cap Rock Blush Royal, Cap Rock Dry Grenache Rose, Beringer White Zinfandel and Sparkling Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut, all of which are either $10 or $11 per bottle.
Even if you don't feel like downing a whole bottle at dinner, you can take bottles home to stock your personal cellar.
Also, while I was by there today, Thanh pointed out their selection of sake. It's not on sale, but it's worth noting because where else are you going to go in town that has half a dozen different kinds of sake to choose from? This is a real question. Is there another place in town? Feel free to comment on this as if I'm stupid for not knowing the answer.
One more bite: Clay Pot will be hosting Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours on Monday from 5-7 p.m.
