Well, as usual, the Cafe Homestead monthly dinner menu is out and there's something on it that absolutely piques my interest.
Here's the thing about Cafe Homestead's dinners: they're usually in the $40-$50 range, which means there are two ways to look at it. One way is to think that it's expensive. But I think that's short-sighted. I think if you commit to spending a little more than usual on a dinner, then your expectations for that dinner are raised. And I think you can raise your expectations for this thing and those expectations will be surpassed.
Ahh, but I didn't tell you the item on this month's "A Taste of Italy" dinner that has my full attention, did I? It's the Zuppa Toscana (perhaps you gleaned that with the picture with this blog). The dinner will be served at 5:30 and 7:30 seatings on April 20.
The full menu isn't up on the website as of this morning so here you go:
Starter: antipasto salad
Appetizer: bruschetta
Soup: Zuppa Toscana (a classic creamy Italian soup of sausage, potatoes and spinach)
Main Course: Pasta de Ana's garlic basil linguini with stuffed chicken breast and a grilled vegetable medley
Dessert: raspberry cheesecake with a chocolate crust
