Is WacoFork a restaurant discovery engine for Waco?

Chad has been begging me to write a blog post for a couple of weeks (ok, maybe "begging" is a strong word, but he did ask). He's the writer, not me, so I've been content to just let him handle all of the blogging. But today, we got a post on Twitter that brought me out of hiding and into the blog. So for my debut blog post, I'm exploring the question, "Is WacoFork a restaurant discover engine for Waco?"

When we talk to people about WacoFork, we've struggled with exactly how to describe the site. It's a restaurant directory, a restaurant guide, a website devoted to Waco restaurants, a social network, a place to praise your favorite Waco restaurants and complain about your least favorite restaurants, a conversation starter between restaurant owners and their customers... the list goes on.

Today, as I was checking the WacoFork Twitter account, I came across a tweet by @steven_follis that said "Picked where we're going to lunch today from @wacofork, love that website!" What a great compliment! That's exactly why we built WacoFork, to help Waco residents find, rate and review restaurants that they may not have ever considered before. We all get into restaurant ruts, eating at the same places over and over again because we just can't think of anywhere else to go (I'm looking at you, dad!). With WacoFork, we want to eliminate the restaurant rut by giving Wacoans a reliable and trusted source for finding new (to you) restaurants in town. In other words, we want WacoFork to be your Waco restaurant discovery engine.

So, what do you think? Is WacoFork your restaurant discovery engine?
