I feel like a proud parent today, and not just because my wife and I are having our 3rd child within the next 2 weeks. Today is a great day in WacoFork nation. Today is the day we can finally announce that the long-awaited WacoFork iPhone app is available for download in the App Store!
Chad and I have gotten to use a test version for the past couple of weeks, and I must say, it's awesome. I've been using it regularly to decide where I want to eat. It's such a convenient way to find local restaurants and see their ratings and reviews. Here are just a few of the features:
- Browse local restaurants by category.
- Browse the most reviewed restaurants.
- Browse the top rated restaurants.
- Search restaurants by keyword, category, price range, rating, and distance from your current location.
- See ratings, reviews, price range, and a map of each restaurant.
- Call a restaurant by simply tapping the phone number.
- Get directions quickly and easily in the Google Maps app.
As some have already astutely noticed, you can't log into the app with your WacoFork account yet. That's a feature that's coming in a future version of the app. Our goal with this version was to create a useful tool for helping you decide where you wanna eat, and we wanted to make it available as quickly as possible with what we felt were the most important features for making the app useful.
