Think of Secret Chef, Crav as Christmas-dinner relief pitchers

For those in WacoFork land who will be hosting this Christmas weekend, remember Waco has some attractive take-home dinner options.

There's no shame in calling on Secret Chef or Crav to fill out the Christmas Eve or Christmas Day menu. Only delicious food. Also, nobody has to know it didn't come from the host's oven.

On Monday afternoon, Billy Garrett at Secret Chef said he will continue to take orders until Wednesday and his shop will have sides and pies in the refrigerator through Friday.

Secret Chef's Christmas menu includes dressing as well as green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, corn casserole, broccoli and rice casserole, squash casserole and all of the holiday dinner standards. The dessert menu features Italian cream, red velvet, coconut and German chocolate cakes as well as buttermilk chess, pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato, cherry, chocolate cream and coconut cream pies.

Like at Thanksgiving, Crav's Christmas menu offers several options to accommodate vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.

For those who need to serve gluten-free dishes, Crav has a gingered butternut squash soup, gluten-free chicken salad, gluten-free Sicilian tuna salad, frittatas, pan-roasted Brussel sprouts and kale with cranberry and almond, braised-beef bourguignon with dairy-free mashed potatoes and maple cardamom pumpkin cheesecake. Most of those items — excluding the ones with chicken, tuna and beef, obviously — are also vegetarian friendly and many are vegan friendly.

Crav's full menu can be found at Gourmet Gallery's Facebook page.
