Your favorite time of year has arrived once again, WacoFork friends. It's that time when I contrive trivia questions based on Christmas Carol performed by various and (hopefully) increasingly random artists.
We're going to hit it hard this year with 12 straight (week) days of Christmas Carol Trivia (Lord willing and the creek don't rise). We're also thinking of mixing in a slightly new format as Melissa might bring us questions based on mash-ups of movie title from Christmas movies and non-Christmas films, i.e. an answer might be "The Importance of Being Ernest Saves Christmas."
There will, of course, be prizes every day. Today's stocking stuffer is $10 to Vitek's. The first person to email the correct name of the song and the artist we're looking for to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. wins. Here's the question:
If this band, with a new Christmas album out this year, had served as the house band at Mary and Joseph's stable, the shepherds could have rolled up to a funky beat. Prepare Him room, y'all, get down. What's the name of the band and the song they would have top open with?
One more bite: OK, WacoFork friends, no one has landed on the correct answer in the first 20 minutes and since I'm currently traveling to Waco from Lubbock, and since I can only check that email address on one computer and because there are no known wireless hotspots between my current location (the Clyde, Texas, McDonalds) and Waco, I won't be able to monitor the contest for a while. But keep the answers coming. Don't worry, my email is time stamped and I'll determine a winner about 5 this evening.
