Here's the fourth installment of Tuesday Trivia, which we'll be running all summer.
We're tying trivia to new music, movie and TV DVD releases, since that happens on Tuesdays, so you'll have some framework for my question's origin. But I'm not going to frame the question so that you'll just be able to look up new releases and find the answer. I can hopefully make it a bit trickier than that. For example, John Fogerty released a new album today and I'm particularly excited about it, so the question comes from it.

John Fogerty's new album is a collection of Credence Clearwater Revival songs performed by Fogerty with other famous musicians. It includes 1) a performer who has played with some of the biggest bands ever, including a Saturday Night Live show with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, 2) a band that performed as a fictional band in a romantic comedy, playing a raucous verstion of Free Bird and 3) a performer who once took a turn standing in as the frontman for Metallica when James Hetfield was injured during the 2000 Summer Sanitarium Tour.
I need a person's name for the first part, a band name for the second part and a person's name for the third part. Be the first to send all three correct answers to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and win the Cafe Homestead gift certificate.
Answer: Part 1 = Dave Grohl. Part 2 = My Morning Jacket on Elizabethtown. Part 3 = Kid Rock (several people answered Jason Newsted, who did in fact fill in for Hetfield on the Summer Sanitaruium Tour, but Kid Rock was featured on the Fogerty album referenced in this blog).
