12 Days of Christmas Carols: Day 5

I think Thursday's Christmas Carol trivia question might have been the most clever one I've thrown out there yet. You see, the hint "would the shepherds have understood where to go?" was meant to lead you to Bob Dylan. (Disclaimer: I can usually understand the words Dylan sings. I can't always ascertain the meaning. Can anyone tell me what is meant by "20 pounds of headlines, stapled to his chest?). And the hint "this original Christmas carol" was supposed to indicate The First Noel, emphasis on "first."

We didn't have as many attempts on Thursday, so it must have been trickier. Congratulations to Franci Rogers for getting to the bottom of it.

We will take the weekend off and be back with Day 6 on Monday. Since it's Friday, we're going to up the ante a bit, so today's prize is a $20 gift card to Cafe Homestead. Here's the question:

The protagonist in this Christmas Carol is walking through the park, presumably in his Adidas, when he is frightened by what he thinks is a man with a large dog. But in the end, it works out with a big bonus of Christmas cheer.

Think you have the right answer? Email me the performer and song at chad@wacofork.com. First right answer wins.

One more bite: We've had a couple of good Christmas Carol trivia questions sent our way. If you have one, try to stump us. We'll probably roll them out for everyone to guess next week.
