One more bite: Waco Tribune-Herald business writer Mike Copeland reported in his Sunday column that Samurai Japanese Steakhouse is back open after getting a green light from the county health department. I stopped by to confirm this yesterday and was told they re-opened in November. This is an interesting development. Samurai was the original hibachi steakhouse in town and the restaurant of choice for many a birthday party I've attended over the years. I want to go there again sometime soon, but I can't imagine how a place could reopen in a market that has three other hibachi steakhouses and make a go of it.
