Because we've all been there when someone says "Where you wanna eat?" and then everyone stands around a little awkwardly until someone cautiously offers up "How 'bout …" and then the name of a restaurant. It's also a way for us to highlight the restaurants that we want to highlight. Here it goes. ]
Cafe Homestead partners with local and organic sources to provide guests with the highest quality dining experience. The cafe is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. for breakfast on Saturday and remaining open until 6 p.m. Also, be on the lookout for their special dinners, one of the best culinary treats in town.
We recommend ... burgers. Whether it's the traditional Durant cheeseburger or the more innovative quesadilla burger, they're made with home-grown ingredients including responsibly raised beef. That makes a difference.
Save room for dessert ... especially if peanut-butter pie or blueberry cheesecake are available.
Don't leave without trying ... This is a tough one because there are a couple of must-tastes: the sweet potato fries and/or the homemade ice cream.
