Food writers, historians and chefs will gather for a panel discussion about Texas food and cuisine, followed by reception with regional cuisine prepared by the TSTC culinary school.
The Texas Food panel will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 12 in Bennett Auditorium at Baylor, hosted by The Texas Collection. The discussion will be followed by a reception at The Texas Colection, catered by students from the TSTC culinary school. For more information, contact The Texas Collection at 254-710-1268.
Panelists include Lisa Fain, founder of the award-winning blog Homesick Texan; Marvin Bendele, Executive Director of Foodways Texas; Mary Margaret Pack, private chef, food historian and writer; Beth White, cookbook collector and author of Sweets and Meats: Early Texas Cook Books: 1855-1936; and moderator Addie Broyles, blogger and food editor for the Austin American-Statesman.
