I have two things to bring to the table for discussion today.
First, it's National Ice Cream Month. My friend, Joben David, pointed this out to me at length on Sunday, which was National Ice Cream Day, and he went on to pontificate on why July is the perfect month to have National Ice Cream Month. I said it's important to recognize ice cream and all the strides that it's made in this country and it's contribution to the national fabric.
So, who serves the best ice cream in town? For decades, my favorite flavor of ice cream has been World Class Chocolate at Baskin Robbins. But I'm open to suggestion here. Also, who serves the best milk shake? Wait, does the celebration of National Ice Cream Month include the celebration of milkshakes? Do milkshakes have their own month? These are important questions and we need to suss them out.
OK, the second thing. I want to apologize for the lull in content on WacoFork the past couple of weeks.
Following the Independence Day holiday, I traveled to Scotland. My best laid plans of populating the site with blogs during that time sort of fell through. This happened mostly because the weather in Scotland was just about perfect so I busied myself with enjoying it.
Anyway, Tuesday Trivia will return tomorrow and hopefully continued uninterrupted until Labor Day.
But, here's the thing, I'm embarking on a huge sportswriting project focused on high school football in Texas and its national reach, so I'm gong to be on the road a ton for a while. Therefore, I NEED YOUR HELP. Anyone want to guest blog? I'm all for it. It's much easier for me to edit a blog from a hotel room in, say, Detroit, than to write a blog about a Waco restaurant from there.
