Today I was driving around doing reconnaissance when I decided to drive by a certain corner of Franklin Avenue where a crepe restaurant has been promoted for about the last 15 months. I need a better means of getting info on this place, I realize, but it's priority status has been relegated to "Not sure what to do today, maybe I'll drive past and see if there's anything new at Crepe & Roasters."
So far there hasn't been much to report.
Anyway, that's why I was making a right from 18th Street on to Franklin. And that's when I spotted Homestar Runner hanging out in the green light.
This made me wonder what the greatness of Homestar Runner (pictured to the right of this paragraph) was doing in Waco. Perhaps his band is recording at nearby Asterisk Sound. Or maybe Strong Bad's band is recording there and Homestar Runner just came to town to hang out. Even so, how did he end up in the green light?
If Homestar Runner is going to hang around for a bit, I bet he's looking forward to the openings of Dichotomy, Smashburger, the Lone Mammoth, the new theater inside the Hippodrome and perhaps even Crepe & Roasters.
Hang in there, HR buddy, they'll be here soon. (For those in the dark, HomestarRunner.com is a delightful cartoon website featuring wholesome humor including the greatness that is Strong Bad Emails.)
One more bite: Oh, baby I like it a latte, the coffee bar on 4th Street inside that community center there, has closed. If you weren't aware it ever existed, then we're on the same page.
