We reported a couple of weeks ago that D's Mediterranean Grill closed for a brief period in order to remodel its interior.
Well, D's is already back in business with an updated look inside and outside that gives it a more authentic Mediterranean feel. I spoke with Sadie Issa today, who told me the family restaurant was closed a few more days than her dad, Nizam Issa wanted, but they're happy with the results.
For those who have been D's regulars for a while, the changes are easy to spot in the photo with this blog. The old red-and-white checkered tile floor and white walls hinted at D's days as a chicken shack. But now there's no mistaking, it's our real Mediterranean restaurant.
Sadie said new furniture is on order and Nizam said a couple of weeks ago they could be adding an awning out front.
Even though the renovation has a few details still to come, fans of D's food won't have to wait any longer for their favorite dishes.
