Dear Oso Burrito,
It was good seeing you again today.
I know I don't make it around to your neighborhood at Taqueria El Crucero as often as we both might like. But I like the way we can always pick up right where we left off. You're so consistent. I always know what I'm gong to get from you and that makes me feel at ease. So, thank you.
I know I don't say it often enough, but when I see your sour cream, green sauce and cheese covered face, it's as if all is right with the world. I know you must hear it all the time, and I'm really not trying to flatter you. Please understand that I'm being as sincere as I can when I say that you're beautiful.
They say beauty is only skin deep. But that's not true of you. If anything, it's what inside you that counts the most to me. If you were just another empty tortilla, I don't think I would be interested for very long. It's the rice and beans and perfectly grilled pork that makes me think about you all the time.
I know this has gotten sappy, which wasn't my intention. Obviously, I get around to a lot of restaurants and spend time with a lot of different dishes. Please don't think less of me for that. It's part of my job. But with you, it's not work. It's like I'm coming home. I just needed to tell you that.
Let's see each other again soon.
Sincerely,
Chad
