Anyone else noticed how BJ's Brewhouse rises out of the landscape as one drives on from Woodway into Waco on Waco Drive beneath the Highway 6 bridge?
If you haven't, I've provided a photo.
I'm not absolutely certain that architecture met marketing with dramatic effect here, but I've asked a few people who are smarter than me and they insist it was intentional.
Think about it. This intersection of Highway 6 (or Loop 340) and Waco Drive might be the heart of McLennan County. It's almost exactly on top of the crossover from Woodway to Waco and it's a connecting point of the two major highways that run through our town.
And BJ's boldly announces its presence.
I don't know the exact date yet that BJ's will open, but I'll effort that for you in the next week. Last I asked, they were looking at early June. My guess is that when it does open, it's going to be difficult to get a table for a while.
