A little slice of pie in a little slice of Heaven
What can I say about Lula Jane's? It's just fantastic. If I could, I would go every morning, get a cup of coffee and a slice of blueberry bread (it's incredible), and read in the corner for a few hours- taking breaks to soak in the glorious atmosphere and chat with the delightful staff.

Seriously. Everyone there is really nice- you'll want to be best friends with them all.

Sometimes you'll look at the menu and think, "Mmm... I'm not sure. That sounds kind of weird." And then then you'll try it and you'll think, "I'm not sure how I ever lived without eating this." Everything they make is delicious.

It is slightly pricey for people on a budget, but it is worth it. You're supporting a great local business, and you're supporting your tastebuds.

Things that I love: blueberry bread, blueberry pie, breakfast burritos, scones, and every lunch item I've ever had.

This place is magical. Just go.

Homemade yum!
My first visit to Lula Jane's was for lunch. Right now they have just one lunch entree available each day (although there are often choices, like today was macaroni and cheese with or without ham). The food was wonderful! If you're looking for tasty and homemade, this is where you need to stop! I was able to resist the bakery items this time, but I do see a tea and pastry return-visit in my very near future.

Yummy Treats at Lula Jane's
Stopped in before school this week. We ordered a cranberry scone, high-octane cinnamon roll and a ham & Swiss scone. Delicious! The kids definitely want to make it a regular morning stop.

A new favorite in East Waco
I stopped at Lula Jane's on Elm St. at 7:15 this morning right after they opened and was the only customer so far. I work in the area and am excited to have somewhere to go for coffee that's not McDonald's.

I ordered a slice of blueberry bread and a latte. The bread tasted as good as a blueberry muffin you could get from Starbucks or Shipley's and the coffee was tasty. I would like to see more variety on the menu, but I will be going back to try their lunch. While the food and coffee might be something you could get at several places, I would recommend Lula Jane's for the price, friendly staff, and their effort in East Waco.
